Ten Feet High Stop 3

hey All,

Ten Feet High Stop 3 was a good stop!

This was the best conditions we have had yet for any of the stop this year. with calm conditions and only a little bit of rain ha. But also this stop wasn't so busy as a lot of the pro wakeboarders were at the cable world championships.

Even with less people it was still a great and very enjoyable event! It also gave an opportunity for the less advanced pros to have a good chance of podium. In my category there was still a fair amount of skaters riding so it kept the fun competitiveness to it! Everyone rode well and stuck good tricks, Brandon a local rider came 3rd, Zander came 2nd also putting in a nice kickflip and I came out on top riding the best I have done in a competition yet, taking 1st place! So stoked! good times!

Everyone made it a great event and looking forward to next stop next month..

see you all there

WAKESTOCK!!!

Hey all,

Just been at a massive Festival all weekend! Relentless Wakestock! Largest Wakeboard Festival in Europe based in Abersoch in Wales!

This was my first time at Wakestock and it was a great experience! I heard from last years that it was none stop rain and mud! But this year was a big improvement although it did rain the first two days but after that it was very nice indeed with sunshine and warm even though it was very windy all the riders put on a sick weekend of riding!

Also this year Wakestock became one of the WWA Stops of the world series so the top athletes from all over the world joined at Wakestock to party and compete for lots of $dollars! There were top riders from the likes of Aaron Rathy, Phil Soven, Randall Harris, Adam Errington, Dean Smith, Amber Wing, Nicola Butler and many more insane riders!

There was two sides to the riding over the weekend, being the boat contest and the pool gap contest. The boat side of is was the main attraction in the sport as it was at the marina in the harbour of Abersoch! There was two big rails in the harbour, one being the Leviathan which is the famous box, wall ride obstacle and another being the massive roof top and this thing was huge!

Over the weekend it started out with the qualifying rounds on the boat and on the pool gap for wakeboard. Then each time it came down to less and less riders for the semis and the finals on the Sunday. For the wakeskating, not so much going on but we got a couple of sessions on the pool gap but wasn't really enough to get into it as the rails where big and designed for wakeboarders. Hopefully next year they give a little more for the wakeskaters to do.

As it was a massive festival there were lots of bands playing over the whole weekend, great music in the big tents and the main stage. Music from bands like The Ting Tings, Futureheads, Feeder also Tiny tempah, Zane Lowe and many more great acts including Pritchard and Dainton!

So the awards were celebrated on the sunday night of Wakestock, the last night and it was a good one. The top riders coming out on top on the boat contest were, 3rd Austin Hair, 2nd Aaron Rathy and ontop of his game was Phil Soven taking 1st place! The Woman was 3rd Robbi Rendo, 2nd Nicola Butler and 1st was Australian rider Amber Wing! Also Will Bradley taking the best overall rider for wakeskate!

This whole weekend was incredible and so much fun to watch and be apart of the riding and the night life was very much enjoyable!!

Looking forward to 2011 Wakestock! Don't miss out!

laters all..
