Ryan and Tony Birch Memorial Contest

Hey Guys

Last weekend I was up at Chasewater for the Ryan & Tony Birch memorial contest which was also the last stop of the Nautique Riders league which I have ridden in throughout the season. Over the weekend there was a great vibe with live music on to entertain the crowd. There was also a System 2.0 cable courtesy of Tim Woodhead which gave the riders something to do in between the rounds. I had a go on the System 2.0 to see what its like, I enjoyed my skate sesh on it but it felt a little slow as I'm used to riding behind a boat. Overall it is really good for learning air tricks on the wakeboard. In the wakeboard comp I was happy with my riding in the qualifying round with a smooth and stylish run putting me me at the top in my category. Later on in the day Midlands Nautique took me for a demo ride on my wakeskate which was a really good ride pulling out my top wake to wake trick, hs fs 360 behind the awesome Byerly Limited edition Nautique, it has a perfect wake!

On day 2 the action was hot again with the finals and the pro competition. In the final I didn't ride my best but pulled just enough out the bag to claim 2nd on the podium. The pros were great to watch as they were nailing some solid tricks, they all battled hard but Nick Davies with his unique style of riding and technical trick took 1st place in pro men's. The pro woman's were just as fun to watch as Jules Haley, Louise Nott and Robbie Rendo all battled it out to claim 1st. The top rider of the three on the day was Robbie Rendo 1st for pro women's.

Ill be back to inform you on the next sesh...

DSW (Dirty South Wakeskate)

Hey Guys

Last week as you know I was at Windfest and I'd just like to say thanks to the DSW crew. These guys are awesome and love having fun doing the same thing that I do, wakeskating! Martin, Liam and Oli had all ready doug the pools for the pool gap by the time we got there but still had plenty more to do so me and my bro, Alex helped them out putting the finishing touches.

I'd also like to thank Parky that runs the Rockstar wake school down there and MC for helping organise the pool gap session!

I had fun helping and then shredding the slidders with Martin, Oli and Liam! If you want to check out there adventures then go to there blog http://dirtysouthswakeskateadventures.blogspot.com/.

Here's some pictures of the work in progress through the week.

The guys at work!

The Byerly Hook!

Even though there good friends Liam nearly chopped Martins head off!

I hope to see the DSW crew again soon and go ride with them.

Windfest 2009

Hey guys!
Hows it going?
hope your having a fantastic season and riding well and having a great time.

I did this week, I was at Windfest with my bro, we had a good time, we dug holes helped build sliders drank Relentless until we were hungry then ate burgers and before we all knew it we were ready to sesh.

We had two pools a kicker and a rail, a flat box, roof top and a nessy slider it was great fun I rode with Liam Smith, Louis Floyd, CK, LDB, Jonty Green, Max Main, Dan Jordan, Stef Caller and MC (who I have to thank for the invite!)

Liam landed a nose press shuv out, Jonty did a indy tantrum to blind off the roof top and my best trick of the weekend was a shuv off nessy on my wakeskate. It was a great week then I shot off to the summer jam at MK.

Cutting Edge Ten-80 today

Hey Guys!

Another great day! The Cutting Edge Championships is a programme organised by the British Waterski Federation to promote the talented youth in all waterski disciplines, and we had a great time!

I was invited down to do a wakeskate demo by the Man MC! Jodi Fisher ripped up the slalom course and the day was going well. All the competitors had a great time and it was a fun event as well as serious skiing.

Thanks for the invite guys and hope to do it again next year!

TenFeetHigh wake and skate cable series Last Stop

Hey guys!
Just spent yesterday at Sheffield cable at the final, 5th round of the Tenfeethigh! This event was awesome with top riders from all over the UK with a large entry and a massive crowd!
The event was wakeboard and wakeskate and I entered both, being new to cable wakeboard I was in the rookies with an entry of 32 riders, it was a great competition. I rode well over the two runs without falling and smashing my wild card a Crowmobe off the kicker and landing my first surface railey in cable comp, with switch five off the kicker and managed to shred my way into 1st place on the podium!

Wakeskate was tough, I wasn't on form and could only make sixth place but really enjoyed the jam session, the other riders were on top form and all rode superb. Taylor was owning the kickers and sliders and then Rob did a shuvit on the dragon. Zander busting out a fs 540 bigspin. Will rode consistently good on his skate tricks, we all had a great time! (They kicked my ass on the cable but I was the fastest swimmer and runner ahaa!!)

It was a great day! Sheffield cable is awesome! I am now into cable riding, see you all soon!

Btw the new Nike 6.0 movie Aquafrolics is sick! let me know what you think??
